With a bold vision propelling I Care Psych (originally C.A.R.E) forward, Ryan Burnett has dedicated his career to trailblazing transformative solutions in psychiatric and addiction treatment. Boasting a rich background across environmental, business, and financial sectors, Ryan brings a reservoir of expertise to the dynamic landscape of healthcare. In the early stages of his career, Ryan distinguished himself in environmental engineering, specializing in HAZMAT detection and removal, and spearheading initiatives for clean water and oil. Beyond the realms of healthcare, his commitment to societal well-being shone through his role as a trustee for pension funds, contributing to judicious investment management.

Ryan's foray into healthcare management was fueled by his deep compassion for individuals grappling with addiction. Armed with a degree in Health Care Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, he further honed his skills with a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Central Florida.

A true devotee of University of Alabama football, Ryan's passion for the sport runs deep in his roots. Outside the office, he indulges his fervor for racing by attending NASCAR and Indy car events nationwide. Motivated by a profound commitment to community welfare, Ryan stands ready to navigate and alleviate the challenges of our current era, recognizing the escalating importance of mental health in our daily lives.

Neel Patel, M.D.

PSYCHIATRIST

CO-FOUNDER and CMO

Neel Patel, MD, is double Board Certified in General Adult Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry with extensive training in adult mental health care, substance use disorder, and dual diagnosis. At I Care Psych, Dr. Patel will provide a variety of outpatient treatment services including general psychiatric evaluations, substance use disorder evaluations, and medication assisted treatment. Based on the results of the initial evaluation, each patient will receive an individualized treatment plan tailored to their specific needs. Through years of experience, Dr. Patel has realized that no single treatment is appropriate or effective for everyone. “My goal is to help achieve a better quality of life for my patients by optimizing and utilizing evidence-based approaches to treat both mental health illnesses and substance abuse disorders.

Dr. Patel received his bachelor's degree at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. He has always been passionate about medicine and pursued his medical degree at Ross University. Upon completion of medical school, he completed an adult psychiatry residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Patel was always intrigued about the intricacy and complexity of addiction during his residency and followed his dream to pursue an addiction psychiatry fellowship back at his alma mater at the University of South Florida.

Dr. Patel is a member of the APA, ASAM, AAAP, and AMA. He attends conferences on a yearly basis to further his knowledge in the field of mental health and substance use disorders in order to provide the best quality of care for his patients.

Outside of work, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He enjoys spending time outdoors and is known to be a foodie. Although his taste in food is diverse, his favorite is pizza. Dr. Patel is also an avid sports fan and supports local teams such as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Rays, and Tampa Bay Lightning with the exception of being a Miami Heat fan.

Maram Yousef, PA-C

Board Certified Physician Assistant

Maram Yousef, PA-C, is Board Certified Physician Assistant and is further credentialed and certified with NCCPA CAQ in psychiatry. Maram has been working in psychiatry private practice since graduating, specializing in General Adult Psychiatry and this experience has allowed Maram to work in diverse patient population and provide quality care that consisted of evaluation, treatment, and medication management. Maram is interested in understanding the underlying cause of symptoms to better treat the patient and establish a long-lasting relationship.

Maram earned her bachelor’s degree at University of South Florida in Tampa, FL and her master’s degree at South University in Tampa, FL. She has always been interested in pursuing medicine and helping people, such as volunteering in Nursing homes as well as part of Big Brother and Sister Foundation during her time as USF. Upon completion of physician assistant school, she has committed herself to work in psychiatry since and continues to further her education yearly to stay up to date on new treatments, and studies to further assist patients. Maram is a member of AAPA.

Outside of work, Maram enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the world through hiking and traveling.

Rita Behr, PMHNP

Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Rita Behr, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, building on a wealth of knowledge and experience gained from ten years of nursing in critical care and emergency medicine. After earning her bachelor's degree in Nursing from Ohio University in 2016, she provided high-caliber care in fast-paced trauma units across diverse settings throughout the country. Her highly developed skills in patient care, including the ability to analyze and implement sound treatment plans, patient education, and family counseling—enable her to focus on therapeutic relationships and the well-being of patients at I Care Psych. She advocates for a holistic, functional approach to life, achieved through therapeutic interventions, lifestyle modifications, and medication management. Her goal is to provide patients with tailored, precision treatment in an outpatient setting to foster a healthy and productive way of life.

Rita’s interest in holistic psychiatric treatment is guided by research from influential leaders in the field, such as Dr. Stephen Stahl, Andrew Huberman, Loretta Breuning, and Dr. Peter Attia. Her solid foundation in healthcare served as a catalyst for her exploration of psychiatric medicine and the direct correlation between critical illness and mental health. Committed to continuing education in the field, Rita earned her master’s degree in Nursing in 2023 and became board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

Outside of work, Rita enjoys fishing, paddling, hiking, and camping—the outdoors is her therapy! Additionally, she fosters animals through a local animal shelter. She also enjoys practicing yoga and traveling while learning about new cultures and languages.

Kat Perez

Office Manager

Kat Perez is the dedicated and passionate Office Manager at I Care Psych, playing a pivotal role in day-to-day operations. A proud alumna of the University of South Florida, Kat has set her sights on pursuing a graduate degree to deepen her knowledge and contribute further to the enhancement of the mental health system.

Kat's journey with I Care Psych began at its inception, and she has been an integral part of its growth. Her enthusiasm to evolve with the company stems from a profound commitment to improving the mental health landscape in the community. With a firm belief that every patient's wellbeing is of utmost importance, Kat approaches her role with unwavering compassion, empathy, and diligence. She ensures that each day is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of those seeking mental health support.

Kat takes pride in fostering a welcoming and positive environment for all patients embarking on their recovery journey. Her dedication extends beyond administrative duties as she actively cheers on the successes of those under the care of, I Care Psych.

Outside of the office, Kat indulges in her passions for art, fashion, and exploring diverse cuisines. Recognizing the importance of a strong support system, she cherishes moments spent with her loved ones, creating lasting memories.
